Product Information

SURFACE PREPARATION

Fastwall should be applied to a clean, sound, free from all forms of dirt, oil, bond- breakers, releasing agents and other contaminants surface.
Fastwall is then applied by trowel to a thickness between 2mm to 10mm. Fastwall is then finished by screeding with a straight edge, finishing with timber, plastic float or damp sponges. Care should be taken not to overwork the surface area.

APPLICATION

Fastwall is applied by hawk and trowel to a thickness between 2mm to 10mm. Fastwall is then finished by screeding with a straight edge, finishing with plastic or polystyrene float or damp sponges. Care should be taken not to overwork the surface area.

DRYING / CURING TIMES

Fastwall will dry at 25℃ and 50% relative humidity normally in 4-6 hours, however drying will take longer at lower temperatures or higher relative humidity. Fastwall should be kept damp for the first 12 hours to ensure proper hydration. If drying is too rapid hydration will not take place and the render will not develop its full strength and shall become friable. Fastwall may be overcoated with any texture coating after 7 days.

Mixing

Mix 1 x 20kg bag of Fastwall with 4.5 litres of water to obtain correct lump free consistency using a power stirrer or similar device. Care should be taken to ensure Fastwall is thoroughly mixed. Dependant on the ambient temperature and the desired consistency, the amount of water required may vary slightly but should not exceed 4.8 litres per 20kg bag of Fastwall. Excess mixing water may result in surface crazing, cracking and as well as delaminating.

COVERAGE

1 X 20kg bag of Fastwall will cover approximately 2.5 m2 at an average thickness of 4mm
