Acrylic Primer Paint for Metal Surfaces
Evolving Elements roof coating systems are compatible with a broad range of substrates, namely concrete roofs, unglazed terracotta tiles, and even galvanised steel and Zincalume®. Developed by New Zealand Steel Limited, Zincalume® is a specially fabricated coated steel from a zinc/aluminium alloy. Zincalume® exhibits the anticorrosive properties of aluminium, along with the sacrificial anode protection of zinc. When stacked up against standard steel, the coated steel delivers exceptional performance, especially in roofing and cladding applications. Hence, Zincalume® has secured a major share of the steel building products market in New Zealand, as well as in Australia.
JPS Coatings reinforces the durability and promotes the longevity of Zincalume® coated steel with a multilayered roof coating system, which also adheres to bare iron and galvanised steel. Among the products is Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+, specifically formulated acrylic primer paint for metal surfaces.
Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+ consists of inorganic rust inhibitors and passivators, along with inert fillers. The water based acrylic coating is applied prior to subsequent topcoats, promoting their adherence and resilience.
The water based formula of Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+ allows for easy, hassle-free application, and just as easy clean up, as well. The acrylic coating is applied in one (1) coat using an airless spray. The applicator must ensure that the designated surface is dry, clean and pressure washed. With strong adhesion, Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+ guarantees reliable and long lasting performance.
Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+ is usually applied after Evolving Elements Rustcure, an advanced formula for the passivation and removal of light rust on metal and galvanised iron roof sheeting. Evolving Elements Rustcure also aims to facilitate the extrication of minor deposits of oil and grease. In addition, the coating chemically etches the metal substrate to ensure the optimum adhesion of Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+.
Evolving Elements Duramembrane is applied in two (2) coats after Evolving Elements Surface Prime Plus+. The 100% acrylic coloured coating is designed to restore, rejuvenate and seal old and aged roofs in a semi-gloss finish.
